The Best Local Food Trucks
Joes on the Nose |
Just because your on the go it does not mean you can't enjoy good food! Below is a list San Diego Magazine featured in their "Best of" Readers Poll.
Joes on the Nose: Joes on the Nose opened as a business designed to offer drinks to surfers and other beachgoers in San Diego county, so the only way to do this was to be completely mobile. We also love Joe for featuring award winning beans locally roasted by Bird Rock Coffee Roasters. joesonthenose.com.
MIHO Gastrotruck: Two Linkery veterans teamed up to serve fresh, locally sourced, clever street foods like conchinita pibil tacos, banh mis, Cuban sandwiches and more. mihogastrotruck.com.
Tabe: Drawing on a unique blend of flavors —Mexican, Japanese, Pacific Islander —Tabe offers barbecued chicken, beef, spicy pork and beer-battered fish to add to its bowls, wraps and more. tabebbq.com.
Marisco's German Taco Truck: This truck produces some of the best tacos in town, from the battered fish (naturally) to the gobernador (shrimp, cheese and chiles).
Sweet Treats: This list wouldn't be complete without an ice cream truck, and Sweet Treats does it right by combining cool gourmet-brand sweets with nostalgic faves like sno-cones, drumsticks and ice-cream sandwiches. sweettreatstruck.com.
Kiwi Coach: Bareback Grill's mobile operation brings the best parts of the P.B. and downtown restaurants along for the ride, including organic burgers, chicken sandwiches, salads, fries and onion rings. barebackgrill.com.
Dave de Jour: A former Navy SEAL, Dave isn't a guy to be taken lightly. Neither is his cooking, which includes shredded-beef Cubano sandwiches, mahi sliders, chicken skewers, mac-and-cheese on a stick and more. davedejour.comhttp://www.davedejour.com/.
